E-commerce Marketing Manager, Strings Division

Reporting to the Senior Director, Strings Leader, the E-commerce Marketing Manager for the Strings division is responsible for managing and optimizing the online sales and marketing of Martin Guitar's fretted instrument strings (guitar, mandolin, banjo and ukelele strings) through various platforms and channels. This position works closely with the Strings Leader, Director of Channels, Strings Product Manager, and the Digital Marketing team to optimize and improve the webstore, Amazon, and other ecommerce platforms, support loyalty programs related to strings, monitor and respond to ratings and reviews, and analyze and report on ecommerce performance and insights.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports the Content Marketing Strategy for strings in online channels, including product videos, images, lifestyle assets, brand assets, A+ content, expert and influencer testimonials, etc.

Supports the optimization of webstore, Amazon, and other ecommerce platforms for fretted instrument strings, ensuring product listings, pricing, inventory, and promotions are accurate and up to date.

In coordination with the Digital Marketing team and Loyalty Manager, leads the development of new programs and initiatives to support Strings within the existing Martin Backstage program, using customer data to provide the optimal strings experience for each member.

Monitors ratings and reviews of fretted instrument strings on various ecommerce platforms and works with Customer Service to respond to concerns and solicit feedback from customers to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Analyze and report on ecommerce performance and insights for fretted instrument strings, using tools such as Google Analytics, Amazon Seller Central, and Shopify, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Collaborate with the Director of Channels, the Strings Product Manager, and the Digital Marketing team to align ecommerce objectives and strategies with overall online marketing and branding goals.

Supports the entry and growth of Martin strings on global and other new digital ecommerce platforms, for example eBay, Reverb, Walmart Marketplace, Rakuten, and Equipos.

Research and benchmark the online sales and marketing practices of competitors and other online music instrument retailers, such as Sweetwater and Thomann, and identify opportunities and best practices for ecommerce marketing of fretted instrument strings.

Position Requirements:

College degree and/or 6+ years' experience in ecommerce sales and marketing of musical instruments or related products.

Knowledge of the guitar and fretted instrument strings market and customer needs a plus.

Ability to play guitar or ukulele a plus.

Proven track record of managing and optimizing ecommerce platforms and channels, such as webstore, Amazon, and others.

Experience in managing loyalty and subscription programs for musical instruments or related products.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Outlook and approach that supports collaboration.

Experience with Customer Relationship Management platforms. Salesforce experience preferred.

Ability to work remotely and travel on an occasional basis.

Fluency in Google Analytics, Amazon Brand Analytics, Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, and other ecommerce tools required.
