The City of Redmond is seeking a creative and high-capacity Marketing and Events Supervisor to join our Parks and Recreation Department!

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee staff who plan our signature events and manage event permitting, as well as spearhead our recreation marketing efforts. We're looking for a skilled supervisor who can see the big picture, make strategic decisions, and effectively manage a team.

This is a hybrid position.

This position is full-time and requires some weekends and evenings.

An exceptional project manager and supervisor, capable of overseeing multiple initiatives and leading teams effectively without micromanaging.A strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to see the bigger picture and articulate compelling marketing messages and clear, concise reports.Experienced in developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies for recreation programs and community events through social media, websites, advertising, media buys, and other marketing channels.Skilled at managing budgets and procuring event sponsorships.A strong writer with exceptional organizational skills that support on-time high-quality deliverables.Adaptable and resilient, able to handle the pressure of high-profile, public-facing work while navigating complex decision-making processes.Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including businesses, community groups, and interdepartmental teams.Genuinely passionate about municipal work, with a strong commitment to the values and goals of local government and an eagerness to grow within the organization.Capable of adapting and thriving in a fast-paced environment, where teamwork and collaboration are essential to success.Proactive in providing leadership with well-considered recommendations and solutions to challenges, while embracing Redmond's rapid growth and evolving needs.Education and Experience

Three years of experience in parks and recreation operations, project management, communications, public relations, or related areas.Supervisory experience preferred; or demonstrated leadership experience or team lead experience.High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and Certificates
