Fors Marsh is seeking a Communications Team lead to drive internal, industry and executive communications delivery for a directorate within FEMA. This individual will lead a team of 8 individuals across multiple companies to organize and execute internal communications messaging and events, update program communications materials, facilitate engagements with industry stakeholders across the federal government and private sector, and provide messaging support to Senior Executives. This individual will be an expert not only in communications tactics, but also in the topics of hazard mitigation, floodplain management and risk analysis. The Communications Team Lead will also provide strategy and advisory support, working with experts in change management, program evaluation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

Lead a team of communications professionals to coordinate internal, industry and executive communications support to a FEMA program office.Work with federal counterpart to optimize communications protocols and coordinate internal and external stakeholder convenings to enhance disaster resilience and emergency management programs around the country.Engage with senior executives to design and deliver organizational strategy and communications support.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required10 years of relevant work experienceDeep experience driving engagements with emergency management stakeholders, including state, local, tribal and territorial (SLTT) partners, and other federal agencies.Experience designing, implementing and communicating about climate resilience, emergency management or community capacity building programs.Managing a cross-functional team of communicators and program subject matter experts.Experience working with senior executives, advising on organizational and programmatic communications strategy.Developing internal and industry engagements, collaborating regionally and nationally to advance program efficacy.Creating brand-compliant written products, including program fact sheets and presentations.Demonstrated success working in a matrixed organization.Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.

$115,000 - $122,000
