is seeking a talented and dynamic
Production Manager (Audio)
to take charge of Audio and Video operations, working closely with the Director of Production. GPAC is a state-of-the-art venue that hosts an exciting variety of events, from touring and professional artists to university and community performances, plus special event rentals. As the Sound Board Operator (A1 or A2), you'll oversee audio and video crews, coordinate load-ins, maintain equipment, and ensure that every performance runs smoothly.Essential Functions
Acts as Sound Board Operator (A1 or A2) for productions, providing a professional audio mix as front-of-house engineer and/or monitor engineer. Supervises and actively participates in the installation and operating of all sound and projection systems.Oversees all production sound operations, in compliance with the Gogue Performing Arts Center's vision and mission for excellence.Provides and manages audio/video support for all building operations and events while demonstrating excellent customer service.Oversees and operates systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venue. Manages inventory, storage, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all related tools and equipment.Monitors and implements industry best practices in sound and projection rigging and installation, particularly in relation to health & safety.Trains and supervises students, TES, and contracted employees involved in audio and video production operations of the GPAC.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience with theater operations, including audio and video systems for live performances and/or touring productions.OR Associate's degree plus 5 years of experience with theater operations, including audio and video systems for live performances and/or touring productions.OR High school diploma or equivalent plus 7 years of experience with theater operations, including audio and video systems for live performances and/or touring productions.Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Extensive knowledge of the methods, tools, and techniques used in the audio operation elements of live productions.Knowledge and proficiency in live mixing multi-channel analog/digital mixing consoles, DANTE audio networks.Knowledge of video streaming operations.Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and to establish and meet deadlines in a timely manner.Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds.Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically, ability to distinguish colors.Posting Detail InformationSalary Range$43,290-$69,270Job CategoryArts/MuseumWorking Hours if Non-TraditionalVaries: Daytime, Late Nights, and Weekends.City position is located in:AuburnState position is located:AlabamaPosting Date10/01/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
