Typical Day in the Role

Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to manage the design systems and branding for the company shopping experience.

They work on design systems for shopping, collaborate with different shopping designers, and handle visual and branding needs, including guidelines and visual assets.

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 80% heads down work, 20% meetings.

Candidate Requirements

Years of Experience Required: 2+ overall years of experience in the field.

Degrees or certifications required: any degree in design, UX, or product design is considered a bonus.

Disqualifiers: Candidates without any background in product design, design systems, or branding and visual design would be disqualified.

Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain unique design approaches, modern and fresh visual sense, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

Minimum 2+ years experience with Figma skills digital design.

Minimum 2+years experience with User research skills.

Minimum 2+ years experience with Visual Design.

Summary:

The main function of a Product Designer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g. - C#, C++, HTML) to support business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications

Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts

Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution

Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area

Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment

Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

2-4 years experience required

Development experience in needed language or technology (e.g. - C#, C++, HTML)

Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end

Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
