We are seeking a Director, Product Marketing for Copilot and AI stack to drive our strategy to establish this solution as the preferred offering to drive a billion new applications, accelerate app modernization initiatives, and bring AI into the core of nearly every business application and the app development lifecycle and toolchain. This leader will report directly to the General Manager for Digital and App Innovation as a dedicated member of the business unit’s marketing leadership team.

This individual will play a critical role in driving success and growth across the Digital and App Innovation team while working closely with a range of businesses across Azure, from Data and AI to core infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Defining the core marketing strategy and product positioning for Copilot and AI stack.Curating high-impact messaging and core product themes and pillars aligned to customer value, AI use cases, and impact, surfacing these themes consistently through a proactive messaging and content program that aligns core messaging, and major product themes to new product introductions, partner expansion, major events and launches, and key solution milestones along with proactive initiatives aimed at core customer audiences.Collaborating across Microsoft to define how core AI, Data, Developer, and infrastructure services align to support the stack architecture, strategy, and value proposition.Driving market momentum for Copilot and AI stack, identifying and directing marketing strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and customer advocacy. This includes identifying target customers, defining the end-to-end customer journey, and partnering across marketing to create clear and tangible product value.Bringing the stack value to life with customers through user stories, demos, and scenarios.Partnering across multiple business units and our global partner organization to achieve annual revenue and engagement growth priorities, business targets, monetization strategies, plans, and metrics.Delivering sales enablement and field support, including ongoing collaboration across the sales, partner, and engineering organizations to develop sales-ready collateral to support new product announcements, updates, portfolio changes, and annual solution programs. Develop content that best resonates with customer value and drives high utilization and value with global field teams.Create a feedback loop with Sales to ensure their buy-in, utilization, and continuous improvement. Create strategic partnerships and participate in pre-sales meetings with customers.Supporting major launch moments, executive disclosures, corporate events, and key industry milestones to communicate this critical product strategy clearly, consistently, and with maximum impact.Driving Portfolio Planning to ensure that product roadmaps across all areas of the stack are launched with clarity and that new and enhanced products advance Microsoft leadership and strategic marketing themes.Embody our culture and values.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in businessOR equivalent experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experienceOR equivalent experience.

Messaging and content development skills.Ability to drive new and enhanced products to market, with tangible impact.Aptitude for quickly learning new and emerging technologies.Understanding of Sales strategy/enablement, priorities of field and partner teams.Experience with AI, enterprise applications, and developers.

Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
