Summary:Seeking a talented
Product Designer
to craft visually stunning and user centric solutions for mobile software.
This role will require a
strong foundation in building SaaS software. Also, this is an individual contributor role that will require you wear the designer/UI/UX/implementation hats
(this is not a managerial role).As a key member of the product team, you will play a primary role in the product discovery and design process with clients. Based on your understanding of the customer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and beautiful user interfaces and experiences. You will contribute to weekly client feedback sessions, directly interacting with customers, allowing you to tackle real-world challenges and impact the way users interact with products, making their lives easier and more productive. Will collaborative activities with product development, technical architecture, and business executives.Our client is a rapidly growing criminal justice technology startup dedicated to reducing recidivism and improving outcomes. They foster an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture that is focused on achieving results and making a positive impact.This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package based on experience, employer paid medical benefits for employee, 401(k) with a 6% employer match, paid time off, vision and dental insurance.Responsibilities:Collaboration: Work closely with product management, architecture, and business leadership to bridge business outcomes with client value through user-centered designs.User-Centric Research: Conduct user research to understand customer needs and translate those insights into designs to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.Rapid Prototyping: Quickly develop and iterate on clickable prototypes to test ideas and gather user feedback, refining designs based on these insights.Holistic Design Approach: Design the entire user experience, from interface details to overall user journey that cater to B2B2C clients, ensuring a visually appealing and intuitive user interface for end-consumers.Cross-Functional Influence: Bring a design perspective to discussions and decisions, influencing the overall product strategy and ensuring design considerations are integrated into all aspects of the product.Design Execution: Create high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that illustrate user journeys and interactions.Product Delivery: Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs, support frameworks, and aid during the development process.Flexibly perform additional product-related duties as assigned, contributing to our agile startup team.Qualifications:Proven track record delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget, with a focus on cloud-based architectures and mobile applications.Proven track record in product discovery processes, including rapid prototyping and iterative design based on user feedback.Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.Experience conducting user research and usability testing and applying insights to design decisions.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, articulate design decisions and contribute to product strategy discussions.Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent qualifications.
