Your Tasks:Utilize a computer aided design (CAD) system to create drawings (2D and 3D)Interpret schematics to develop complete system designsTravel to customer sites and participate in field measurementsMaintain project schedulesEffectively communicate and interact with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers and customers (limited customer contact)Control and document the distribution and archiving of drawings and documentsUnderstand, diagnose, and solve real or potential design problemsAttend and contribute to design review meetingsInterpret mechanical drawingsExercises critical judgment in creating designs that perform functionally and meet project specifications while considering key aspects of safety, cost, code compliance, ability to fabricate, ergonomics and aesthetics.Find and implement catalog components into equipment designs.Use company-developed sizing calculations and perform simple analysis calculations to verify design functionality.Create Bills-of-Material from detailed drawings and release the engineering package to manufacturing.Support manufacturing by answering any questions and regularly inspecting the fabrication until shipmentPerform other duties as assignedYour Skills:

Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferredExperience designing sheet metal assemblies and air handling systems preferredFamiliar with mechanical layout, detail drawings, and basic piping preferredPrior experience with PLM software (SAP, Oracle, etc...) preferred but not requiredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsAbility to perform basic engineering calculationsStrong skills in math and geometryProficient in the use of Solidworks (2D and 3D) and AutoCAD (2D and 3D)Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to understand and maintain project schedulesGood time management skillsGood organizational skillsGood verbal communication skillsGood technical writing skillsGood communication skills with co-workers, suppliers, and customersAble to work well independently and in a collaborative team environmentAbility to technically define problems and propose solutionsAdaptable to change in a learning environmentSelf-starter capable of executing assigned tasks and solving problems in a diplomatic and professional mannerWilling and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary
