Job DescriptionPlease Note:Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of the client Headquarters in Woodlawn, MDSelected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.The candidate must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review.Position Description:

Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing.Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders.Facilitate customer discovery sessions.Create Conceptual Models, Journey Maps, Personas and Scenarios of Use.Create and refine screen prototypes.Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.Key Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of:

User-centered design principlesDocumenting user requirementsUser needs/pain pointsInteraction/Interface design experience utilizing user-centered methodsDesigning and conducting formative various user research testsRequirements

Skills Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 7+ years of experienceDemonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basisMinimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User AnalysisMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.The candidate must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review.Required Skills:

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basisMinimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User AnalysisMinimum of 6 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendationsMinimum of 4 year of experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settingsMinimum of 4 year of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settingsMust provide a digital portfolio of design work for reviewDesired Skills:

Experience using Axure RP prototyping softwareExperience with AdobeXD prototyping softwareExperience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platformsExperience with the Agile/Scrum methodologyUnderstanding of responsive designPrior experience supporting government agenciesUnderstanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding designHold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly)
