Technical Designer
to join our team in Los Angeles! In this role, you will ensure that all products adhere to our brand's fit specifications, construction standards, and quality expectations. You will create fit standards, lead fit sessions, and liaise with domestic & overseas vendors to ensure production fit quality aligns with intent.CultureI love shopping for clothes -said almost no guy, ever.That's where ThreadBeast steps in. We're dedicated to assembling a high-performing team deeply passionate about their work and the impact we can make together.Key Responsibilities:Measure and prepare fit samples for review; inspect all samples from FIT to TOP.Lead fit sessions, analyzing fit, construction, and workmanship issues ensuring garments meet desired standards, and brand identity.Collaborate with merch and production teams to ensure design & fit intent is achieved.Document precise notes during fit sessions and update Tech Packs with current information, including BOM, and communicate corrections with vendors within 1-2 days.Track and manage workflow and workload, adhering to production calendar deadlines.Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in the technical design process.Qualifications:Must Have:At least 3-4 years of experience working in apparel technical design.Experience in pattern making, tech packs, and working with overseas vendors.Proficiency in technical design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CAD, Gerber.Knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and production processes.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.Physical ability to lead fit sessions, which may involve standing for extended periods and manually adjusting garments.Preferred:Familiarity with fashion startups or high-growth environments.Experience or interest in YM's apparel, especially as it relates to trends in Fit & proportion play.Experience fitting denim/jeans, and/or stretch/performance fabrics.About ThreadBeastThreadBeast is a leading streetwear subscription e-commerce company in the fashion industry, offering a personalized and seamless shopping experience for the latest styles and trends.
