WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an outstanding Art Director to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, team leadership, critical thinking, and creativity, working closely with both producers and narrators to deliver well crafted and innovative creative across the Art Direction studio. This leader will implement the creative vision for Jordan Brand initiatives through Art Direction in a way that supports premium Jordan Brand consumer experiences, and the Jordan Design ethos. This person will also elevate the consumer brand experience through brand appearance of product, communications, collateral materials, digital and retail!

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the Art Director – Art Direction, you will lead a variety of projects, working closely with Producers, Designers, and Writers to deliver well crafted and innovative creative vision. You will drive design excellence and collaboration across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that the team delivers multidisciplinary creative against the seasonal strategy. You will maintain and foster relationships with external partners (design agencies, photographers, producers, etc.), and creatively direct and lead work with those partners to ensure they are aligned to project expectations and Jordan Brand standards.

From taking the lead on seasonal initiative concepting, to successfully leading relationships with external partners. From working with Brand Marketing and 365 Studio, to understanding product benefits and providing creative direction to bring those benefits to life for the consumer, the daily responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, exciting, and rewarding.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role leads Designers and Jr Designers, and reports directly to the Sr Director - Art Direction Studio, while regularly partnering with other Art Directors, Designers, 365 Studio Designers, Brand Narrative Director, and Brand Marketing leaders.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 8 years of relevant Graphic Design or Art Direction experience

Ability to build seasonal concepts, and provide the team with both short and long term vision

Understanding of the Brand Creative/Marketing process

Experience working and communicating directly with Brand Marketing partners

Familiarity with Adobe programs including Photoshop and Illustrator

Experience building inspiration/concept presentations, and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction

Presentation/Communication style: Clear, Concise, and Thoughtful (strong verbal and written skills). Ability to present new ideas or seasonal concepts to small and large groups, including presenting to executive leaders, and external partners or customers.

Ability to ensures key Brand Creative gates/dates are met, tools are effectively crafted and used, and able to lead cross-functional teamwork as appropriate.

Expertly manages and maintains relationships with: artists, influencers, design agencies, architects, photographers, producers, project managers and freelancers. Creatively directs, manages and coordinates work with these partners to ensure alignment across project expectations and Jordan Brand standards.

Leads by example

Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of current trends in color, technology, communications, experience, art and other design influences.

Creates presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts to team, leader, director and to various internal and external audiences.
