Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.The Coordinator, Consumer Public Relations for the Wonderful Company’s Wine brands will help showcase our handcrafted award-winning wines from some of California’s top growing regions, which include JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, Landmark Vineyards in Sonoma, and Lewis Cellars in Napa Valley.This position will support a dynamic team of public relations professionals to showcase the brands through a blended mix of media relations, social media, event activations, influencer relations, and community outreach.The Coordinator will help manage event activations and maximize media visibility for the brands through the conceptualization and implementation of innovative, unique events and sampling opportunities with a focus on consumer food and wine festivals, industry trade events, entertainment-driven activations, and community events. This position will also work on further developing our influencer relationships, coordinate estate property visits, and will help the ongoing planning and growth of our social media.In addition to supporting the Wines brands, the Coordinator will contribute to the strategic and creative thinking for a portfolio of global brands. Part of a 20+ global internal communications team based at the Los Angeles headquarters, the Coordinator, Consumer Public Relations will report to the Director of Consumer Public Relations and sit within the Wonderful Agency, the Wonderful Company’s advertising and communications business unit that services the full iconic brand portfolio for The Wonderful Company, which also includes FIJI Water, Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Halos, and Teleflora.Staff branded special events, food and wine festivals, national and regional trade shows, media tours and integrations, red carpet events, and sampling programs. This includes helping to serve as a brand spokesperson at events, as well as being on-the-ground logistics support.Supports trade and consumer media relations efforts, influencer programs, and outreach including media list development.Oversees media tracking and monitoring for the wine brands, packaging coverage and clips, and preparing seasonal and quarterly results grids.Develops event briefings and itineraries, press materials, case studies, and other correspondence, as appropriate.Oversees product inventory and allocations, as well as archives of photos, artwork, and media clip files.Collaborates closely with brand teams and works cross-functionally with our marketing, advertising, research, and legal teams.Assists in the development and execution of the influencer/celebrity outreach plan, focusing on building lasting and credible relationships with celebrity, cultural, and influential tastemakers.Helps build the organic social strategy for the brand to help showcase the lifestyle, people, and properties behind each of the brands, this includes identifying UGC or owned images to share and drafting monthly social media editorial calendars.Administrative responsibilities include scheduling meetings, brainstorm sessions, creating agendas and meeting recaps, daily media monitoring and reporting, and other activities.Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of communications experience including wine, hospitality, or luxury brand PR experience (*ideal but not required) within an agency or corporate environment.Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Events, or Hospitality.Demonstrates a passion for media relations and ability to secure branded results.Skilled at event coordination and staffing.Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.Accurate and consistent, and is well-tuned into attention to detail.Self-motivated team player that rises to the occasion and takes ownership of projects; acts as a solution provider.A creative and innovative mindset.Strong understanding of social media platforms.Knowledge of standard PR tools: MuckRack, PR Newswire/Businesswire, media monitoring services (preferred but not required).Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 25% travel.Pay Rate: $27.00-$29.00 per hour and may include a discretionary bonus.
