POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will act as point person for selection and layout of HVAC, Plumbing and Process Piping equipment and systems for commercial and light industrial projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Establish and communicate goals/needs to those assigned to your projects.

Travel to jobsites as required. The majority of work is within a 50-mile radius of the Twin Cities.

Help meet or beat budget on jobs you are working on.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

8+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, with experience in a lead role.

Working knowledge and first-hand experience in the following types of projects:

Biotech

Heat Pumps

Chiller Plants (500-2000 Tons)

Light industrial applications

Clean Rooms

Manufacturing

Commercial buildings

Medical facilities

DOAS Systems

Pharmaceutical

Experienced in the following Programs:

Autodesk Products (AutoCAD, Navisworks, ReCap, Revit)

Bluebeam

Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams)

Trane Trace3D Plus

Experience with SysQue and Trimble Total Station will be a plus but not necessary.

Strong understanding of Minnesota Building Codes (Mechanical, Plumbing, Fuel Gas, Energy, Building, Fire, etc.)

Strong understanding of industry guidelines (ASHRAE, ASPE, ASSE, ASME, ASHE, etc.)

WHAT WE'D LIKE:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associates Degree in HVAC Design preferred but not required.

Familiar with Point Cloud Generation of existing facilities and utilizing for coordination purposes.
