Senior Mechanical Designer

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer (HVAC & MEP)Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Designer with expertise in HVAC and MEP. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and drafting complex mechanical systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will work closely with the engineering team and project stakeholders to ensure system designs are functional, efficient, and comply with industry standards.Responsibilities:Develop detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and schematics for HVAC and MEP systems using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or other 3D modeling tools.Create system designs that meet project specifications, local building codes, and industry standards.Ensure integration and coordination of HVAC and MEP systems with architectural and structural designs.Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to review design concepts and ensure alignment with overall project goals.Participate in design meetings and site visits to support construction and resolve any design-related issues.Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection for HVAC systems.Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers.Review and update designs based on client feedback, regulatory changes, or evolving project requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.Minimum of 3+ years of mechanical design experience, with a focus on HVAC and MEP systems in commercial, industrial, or residential projects.Extensive experience in designing complex building services systems.Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other 3D modeling software.Strong understanding of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and relevant mechanical engineering guidelines.
