For a complete description of our benefits for this position, please visit our website.The College of Engineering’s Development team has an exciting opening for an Assistant Director of Marketing Communications. This is a full-time permanent position.The Assistant Director of Marketing Communications develops, executes, manages and analyzes a variety of internal and external marketing communications projects aimed at engaging College of Engineering constituent groups, including donors and prospective donors, industry partners, alumni, students, staff and the public.What You Will Do:Marketing and Communications (40%)

Serve as project manager for annual marketing communications initiatives, such as the New Faculty project. Collaborate with partners and stakeholders, recommend best practices, set benchmarks and timelines, and ensure success of final deliverables.Manage the media collection for the College’s Marketing Communications team, including the photography and video database.Analyze, update and maintain an online resource web toolkit by developing best practices, templates, updating logos, and conducting project intakes, while collaborating with the web team to ensure usability of the web toolkit.Using Asana and other project management tools, build, update and maintain project task lists, and generate and disseminate reports.

Advancement Communications (30%)

Develop and deploy email communications for fundraising, corporate and foundation relations and stewardship.Update and maintain a collateral library, including 10 department fact sheets and a College-branded presentation used by fundraisers.Provide guidance and feedback on the creation of visual assets, and plan and schedule photo shoots for use in advancement and alumni communications.

Events (30%)

Serve as point person and logistical coordinator for event videos for the College’s signature alumni events and donor videos, working with video producers, managing deliverables and ensuring broad usage across campaigns and events.Draft and review materials for College of Engineering events, including programs and invitations.Work with design vendors and printers, and events AV and video production.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related degree AND three years of experience in marketing, communications, advancement or a related field.What You Bring:Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.Excellent organizational and planning skills, including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations and exercise sound judgment based on information and analysis in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office for generating correspondence, special reports, spreadsheets and design/photography software and applications.Familiarity with design programs, including Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.Ability to develop, adhere to and communicate branding and content guidelines.Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.Application Process:
