Vice President of Marketing and Communications
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will oversee the storytelling for BridgePrep Academies in an effort to inform, inspire, and attract current and prospective students and staff to our network.
RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing:
Lead development and implementation of student and staff marketing strategy.
Establish a marketing strategy to successfully drive toward enrollment targets and goals.
Partner with the talent team to establish a marketing strategy to successfully drive toward hiring goals.
Work with established media partner(s) to plan and place media buys across media markets to support Student Recruitment Campaign; drive execution of materials, which includes writing creative briefs, copywriting, and providing design direction.
Track applicant acquisition costs and stay within designated ceilings.
Build and execute an e-marketing strategy end-to-end, with a focus on generating and nurturing leads to applicant conversion; includes planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization.
Create and oversee an analytics infrastructure to track and monitor all efforts across online marketing channels.
Steward the BridgePrep brand:
Lead brand campaigns geared at positioning BridgePrep as a leader in education, a high-quality network of schools, and a values-driven organization.
Envision and lead paid media campaigns for brand awareness.
Staff Communications:
Build an internal communications strategy thinking through content creation, calendars, governance, and maintenance.
Cross collaborate with teams to find compelling content and write for diverse audiences through a variety of internal communications mediums, such as emails, newsletters, presentations, and intranet news posts.
Provide oversight for staff communications guidelines and/or communications requests.
Lead efforts on regional newsletter content writing.
Provide strategies and methods for collecting staff feedback for internal communications.
Track analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of staff messaging.
Family Communications:
Provide campus-level resources, training, and best practices for family communications applications.
Partner with the appropriate teams to develop family-oriented collateral, including templates and/or pushed messages for all schools/families.
Collaborate with teams to find compelling content for family messaging.
Find and create content, develop, and project manage publications for families that help steward persistence and brand awareness.
Ensure family communication is timely, consistent, and rooted in a scalable and sustainable strategic framework.
Provide oversight for family communications guidelines and/or communications requests.
Create and update key messaging with compelling content by partnering with teams to keep the information current.
External Communications:
Develop and oversee social media and blog strategy, which includes but is not limited to:
Create a yearly blog editorial calendar.
Manage all editorial content for the external blog to promote strong brand storytelling and increase positive stories about BridgePrep.
Drive BridgePrep’s social media efforts, including campaign creation and execution, driving traffic and engagement to BPA pages.
Build yearly social media goals around the growth of channels, such as followership, engagement, and more.
Support with crisis communications for schools, regions, and/or BridgePrep Academies.
Lead efforts on social media reputation management, including the management of daily monitoring of comments and messages across channels and propose strategies and messages to continue to build and protect the brand.
Provide campus-level resources, training, and best practices for managing campus social media pages by creating and distributing the monthly social media newsletter and leading bi-weekly social media calls.
Ensure content shared on social media channels is optimized to achieve communications objectives.
Track analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of content across all channels.
Support the VP of Recruitment and Enrollment with developing specific social media content that will help boost school applications efforts.
Support the marketing team with digital and paid social media efforts, including but not limited to boosted content strategy, paid enrollment content support, new region entry success, and school boosted post planning throughout the year.
Develop written materials, including press releases, media alerts, op-eds, and media pitches.
Build relationships with key media contacts in the assigned region and identify opportunities to proactively pitch brand, staff, and student stories through media outlets as appropriate.
Provide media prep documents and media prep meetings where BridgePrep Academies members that are going to be interviewed by media.
Monitor media calls, requests, and inquiries for the assigned region.
Provide media recaps that include the number, reach and value of negative stories, when needed.
Support New Community Entry:
Alongside the Director of New Community Entry, develop go-to-market strategy for each new site, including insights gathering via focus groups, positioning and messaging strategy, and ground softening marketing plan.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field, (or equivalent work experience).
Proficiency in managing various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the academy's community.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel 5%-10% of the time, as required (mileage and travel reimbursement is provided).
