UCLA Intercollegiate Athletics .Job Overview The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Associate Director, Broadcast Production. This is a career, full-time position with a targeted salary of $76,200 per year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. The Associate Director of Broadcast Engineering should be a self-starter who is organized and holds exceptional troubleshooting skills which will be required for innovative solutions to complex problems. This individual will collaborate with full, part-time, and student staff to oversee that all broadcast equipment is in good working order, is set up in a proper manner, and is being operated appropriately. In addition, the position will be responsible for maintaining all broadcast infrastructure.Responsibilities A successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, multi-purpose space within a large organization that supports an intercollegiate athletics program with 25 teams and 700 student-athletes. The individual will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics mission and goals and comply with all NCAA and BIG Ten expectations.Minimum Requirements

3-5 years of experience in the video industry including experience in television broadcast, live streaming, and videoboard production.Bachelor's degree or 4 years relevant experience.Experience in a student-run broadcast environment preferred.Experience with SMPTE, SDI, FIBER, XLR, Dante, and Network cables and paths for broadcast flow.Experience leading a group of students and freelance staff.Expert understanding of broadcast control rooms engineering needs to execute a live event production as well as equipment maintenance.Familiarity with ROSS production equipment, Riedel Intercom, Digico and Yamaha mixing consoles, and Sony, Fuji, and PTZ broadcast cameras and lenses.Ability to forecast and work within budgets to achieve common goals.Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and at times long work shifts.Expressions of interest must be received by 8:59pm, Sept 27th, 2024.
