Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.Island News (KITV & KIKU), an Allen Media Broadcasting company in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks a visionary Creative Services Director to lead our creative team of writers, editors, and videographers servicing the station and clients. The CSD will be responsible for the management of the following key components:

1) Manage Station Marketing for all platforms

2) Manage Brand of Island News, Island Life Live, KITV (ABC), and KIKU.

3) Manage Production, including both commercial and show production.

We are looking for a creative & management professional who can leverage the talents of the department with a great positive attitude and thrive in a fast-paced multi-platform environment.

Responsibilities:

● Effectively manage and provide leadership for the creative team. Meet daily with the creative services team to ensure resources cover daily demands and deadlines.

● Promote news brand institutionally as well as proof-of-brand and proof-of-performance, driven by research-based drivers and local sensibility.

● Lead/oversee creative team through concept, development and creation of commercial messages with collaboration with sales and sales management team.

● Manage, write, and produce station strategic messaging for all platforms

● Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients.

● Oversee department budget for creative team. Ensure that all deliverables are produced in a timely, cost effective manner while maintaining creative integrity.

● Manage creative services team including developmental and performance conversations and documentation in line with station policies.

● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Film/TV Production or related area and/or a combination of education and progressive experience in television and digital marketing and promotions, preferred.

Experience:

● Must have a proven track record of strong leadership and management.

● Ability to resource team members to meet deadlines for clients and station messaging.

● Exceptional marketing and communication skills, brand management, and innovative ideas that have resulted in increased audiences on all multi-media platforms.

● Must have experience and a proven track record of managing writing, directing, producing, shooting, and editing. Some knowledge of graphic design, preferred.

● Must have experience leading, directing, coaching, developing, and motivating subordinates, including setting performance standards and evaluating performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
