Job Overview:We are seeking a motivated Junior Piping Designer with a strong background in piping design and engineering standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ASME, ASTM, and ANSI codes, as well as practical experience with design procedures and fabrication standards for piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:Apply industry standards:Knowledge of ASME Section I, B31.1, B31.3, and ANSI B16 standards.Familiarity with ASME PG requirements for steam generator pressure parts.Material selection and stress analysis:Select materials based on allowable stress values in the ASME code.Analyze pipe routing for allowable stresses and support locations.Pipe support design:Determine proper use of fixed, variable, and constant load supports.Sketch weld joints for fabrication:Create detailed sketches of weld joints used in pressure part fabrication.Qualifications:Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM, and ANSI codes.Hands-on experience with piping design and material selection.Ability to analyze stress factors and pipe support locations.Experience in steam generator pressure part fabrication is a plus.Motivated, self-starter with a passion for engineering design.
