Our Product Department at Justin Alexander is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented

Technical Design Assistant

for a temporary position running from

mid-October to mid-January . In this role, you'll support the development of our gowns, from initial design concepts through to final fit approval. You'll collaborate closely with our Design, Merchandise, and Production Teams to ensure that our garments meet the highest standards of quality in fabric, measurements, fit, and construction. If you're ready to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to our innovative bridal collections, we'd love to hear from you!Responsibilities:Preparing for the Line Review where the Designers & Product Team selects new gowns for the upcoming seasonMaintaining the organization of sample gowns and showroom appearanceWorking with the company PLM system to open data packages, BOMS, and any other necessary product informationAssisting with Factory POM's and setting up POMs for the new stylesHelping measure samples and photograph dresses in fittingsCreate development Tech Packs for new season sketchesHelp Draw options on photos for PhotographyOrganize and manage tracking of all samplesAssist with technical specifications and notes from fittingsResponsible for fittings during bi-annual Line Review to write fit comments and prepare communications to vendorsAssist with sample/first fit comments/approvals and prepare communications to vendors/production teamAssisting to standardize color and fabric standards across all vendorsQualifications1-2 years of experience in a fashion-related role (internships or other relevant experience)Knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric behavior (sewing experience preferred)Proficiency with design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and experience working with PLM systemsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple samples and track product informationDetail-oriented with the ability to measure and document technical specifications accuratelyExperience in or passion for bridal fashion is preferredAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product development, and vendorsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, concise vendor communicationsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle the pressure of meeting deadlines for fittings and line reviewsA proactive, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to take initiative and adapt to new challenges
