Interior Design Lighting, Part-Time Instructor Job ID: 14328 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Part Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Position Summary The Interior Design program is seeking qualified candidates to fill Interior Design Lighting Instructor position. The instructor will teach lighting design for interiors to third-year Interior Design baccalaureate students. Must instruct students in contemporary lighting design and related studio practices and processes and have experience teaching or directing others in professional practices, methodologies, skills, and content related to lighting design for commercial and other interior project types. The instructor will maintain current expertise in lighting design for interior and architectural design practice, and create an active learning, project-based curriculum for students. Instruction will include industry standard technology and tools, applying relevant interior building and energy codes and systems, visual communication methods, project management, and various methods of design inquiry. The instructor will give students opportunities to learn about common lighting design consulting practices through industry contacts and field learning experiences. Candidates with NCQLP-LC, NCIDQ, AIA, LEED, and other industry-specific credentials are strongly encouraged to apply Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Adjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $6050.05 - $7375.17. Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.
