Job DescriptionRF Design Winter/Spring Co-Op

In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art RF front-end modules. You will work with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborate with subject matter experts within Skyworks. You will not only get to experience the engineering design process at scale in the industry, but you will also learn advanced technical knowledge and build your skills. This valuable experience will enable you to explore pathways to full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. ResponsibilitiesWorking with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modulesDesigning semi-lumped RF matching networks, integrated passive devices, couplers, etc.Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.Participating in and presenting at design reviewsPerforming lab testing using standard RF test equipmentTroubleshooting and resolving design or technical issuesCollaborating with other engineers and technicians

RequirementsCurrently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programCommitment to work on-site for 6 monthsStrong desire to learn, grow, and make an impactStrong career interest in RF/microwave engineering and electromagneticsWillingness to share knowledge and collaborate with othersMust have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExperience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferredHands-on lab experience using network analyzers and other RF instruments is highly preferredKnowledge of power amplifier design is a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
