RF Module Design - Winter/Spring Co-OpIn this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only will you get to know how things work in the industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:Working with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modulesEvaluating and optimizing prototypes of multi-chip modulesRunning simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.Participating and presenting in design reviewsPerforming lab testing using standard RF test equipmentTroubleshooting and resolving design or technical issuesCollaborating with other engineers and technicians
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programCommitment to work onsite for 3 months or moreStrong desire to learn, grow and make impactStrong career interest in RF/microwave circuits and engineeringWilling to share knowledge and collaborate with othersMust have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExperience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferredHands-on experience in lab using network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferredKnowledge of transmission-line theory and circuit design is a plus
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
