Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:The Technical Writer provides writing and editing services.They contribute to producing and editing the Innovation Recommendation Reports as they relate to performance improvements in systems, operations, and processes.They review new performance improvement content for editing accuracy and formatting and support other acquisitions at the project level.They collaborate with SMEs to design, write, revise, and/or edit technical documentation, including interim whitepapers, plans, outlines, speeches, or presentations.They assist with management of updates, version control, and revisions to the technical literature repository.The Technical Writer is junior in producing and updating documentation related to systems engineering.The Technical Writer takes direction from more senior personnel.They collaborate and share work with other Technical Writers.Basic Qualifications:High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree.Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).Preferred Qualifications:Certified Technical Writer (CTW), Adobe Certified Expert–FrameMaker certifications.Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline.Master's degree in Writing, Communication, or STEM.An active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.Clearance Requirements:Must be a US Citizen.Physical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
