is seeking a dynamic
Social Media & Brand Creative Manager
to join our corporate team. This role will oversee key marketing functions including social media strategy, email marketing campaigns, and graphic design. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multi-channel marketing and be passionate about promoting the Thirsty Lion brand across digital platforms, supporting local and national campaigns, and driving guest engagement.
This person will develop the strategy and create content that strengthens the national/regional/local Thirsty Lion positioning of being a premiere restaurant destination in the upscale casual sector, with a focus on our scratch kitchen and craft cocktails & beer. The position will also work on a single unit "legacy" bowling alley, restaurant and arcade called Grand Central Bowl & Arcade in Portland, OR.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
1. Social Media Content Creation & Management:
Develop, plan and execute a monthly content calendar that reflects our broader marketing strategies; generating standalone social campaign ideas and support the amplification of integrated marketing campaigns across all organic social channels
Management of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube
Create social media strategies for the Thirsty Lion and Grand Central Bowl & Arcade brands and continuously work to refresh it as trends, algorithms, and platforms evolve
Work closely with restaurant locations to promote regional events, seasonal menus, and community involvement
Develop compelling social media, including promos, reels, and posts that maximize engagement and conversions
Capture high-quality photos and videos ensuring new, fresh content for social media channels
Monitor and report on social media and campaign performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.)
Create weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly social media recaps highlighting KPI (i.e. follower growth, engagement rate, top/bottom post)
Provide monthly reports to the Director of Marketing with key insights and recommendations for future campaigns
2. Graphic Design:
Act as our in house graphic designer and ensure all creative assets (social media posts, website banners, email templates, print ads, etc.) align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
Manage requests for marketing collateral from restaurant locations, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Collaborate with other departments to support promotional events, special menus, and corporate initiatives
Curate and manage photography and digital asset library for email and social content
3. Website Design, Management, and Analytics:
Maintain websites and user experience utilizing WordPress and Squarespace
Ensure an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly online presence
Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
4. Influencer Campaign Management
Foster and build relationships with digital influencers to activate in support of larger social media marketing strategies and marketing campaigns
Manage all influencer campaigns from briefs to content approvals to reporting
Ensure clear communication of all influencer campaigns/programs with restaurant leadership
Social coverage of PR and marketing events
Collaborate with PR agencies to amplify content from media coverage, brand partnerships and influencers, building long-term brand advocacy
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of social media marketing (management and content creation) experience with corporate brand or agency;
knowledge of restaurant industry marketing a plus
Strong level of proficiency with social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, and Facebook Business Manager and other social planning and reporting tools.
Proficiency in WordPress and HootSuite
Proficiency in Adobe platforms, Canva, Squarespace, Photoshop
Experience with CRM Systems (ideally Fishbowl) and Google Analytics
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Works well under pressure and has a flexible and positive attitude
In-depth understanding of relevant and upcoming social media
Strong project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Eye for detail and design aesthetics
