Position: Junior Architect/Designer, 2-6 years of experience

Job Description:

We are currently looking for generalist architects with 2 to 6 years of experience to join our team. Experience with Design Development and Construction Documents are required. Some experience with all phases of the design and construction process preferred.The position requires excellent design sensibility, strong communication skills, experience with thoroughly documented buildings, and an inherent interest in craft and detail.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidates will have an interest and strong background in modernist design and a keen eye for detail. You will eventually be involved in all phases of project development and will collaborate closely with our team to deliver exceptional results.

Design excellence at the forefront.

A true collaborative nature, without ego. A willingness to learn, to jump in wherever needed.

Ideally, experience working with high-end residential, and/or very high levels of craft and detail.

Technical interest and ability: comfortable assisting with construction documentation and permitting, under the supervision of more experienced architects.

2+ years of post-bachelors, professional experience in architecture or design, with a focus on modernist residential projects preferred.

Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp/Enscape, and Photoshop preferred, but we’re willing to teach specific software programs to people with similar types of software experience.

Experience and/or passion in sustainable systems/materials/assemblies preferred. Current projects include net zero energy goals, geothermal and photovoltaic energy, green materials, planted roof systems, and grey water reuse.

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and a retirement plan. We strive for office environment that is casual and enjoyable, but dedicated to the highest standards of creative and technical excellence.

We are committed to fair and competitive pay. The hiring range for this position is currently between $63,000 and $80,000 annually, based on relevant experience, design savvy, and communication and presentation skills. Salary decisions are subject to change due to market and internal equity.
