Combine multimedia knowledge and strong communication skills with technical expertise to educate across the entire spectrum of users’ abilities, technical experience, and visual and auditory capabilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement work instructions, area guidelines, knowledge base topics, and departmental SOPs as required.Create new documentation and improve existing documentation.Work with key personnel to expand knowledge and understanding of how to perform and troubleshoot instrumentation, assays, software, etc. to develop and improve content.Identify and implement document changes to maintain consistency across product lines/processes.Lead collaborative review sessions.Manage multiple user documentation projects at a time.Assist core team members and project team leads in developing documentation timelines and deliverables.Initiate and drive inter-departmental continuous improvement for a team of contributors.Work towards obtaining certification relevant to job functions.Work with translation vendors in managing translation development and procurement process, responding to questions from the vendor with minimal help from management.Contribute to work instructions, area guidelines, knowledge base topics, style guides/templates, and department SOPs by analyzing current processes, identifying and evaluating options, and suggesting changes with the intent of improving efficiency or quality.Attend project/core team meetings as required as extended core team representative and make recommendations regarding the IFU project schedule and deliverables required considering information learned at these meetings.Revise existing documentation by working with stakeholders, partners, or distributors to facilitate revision, review, and approval of documentation.Coordinate the collaborative review process and establish review and edit cycles based on the project timeline and availability of resources. Train cross-functional team on review process as needed.Coordinate the transition of documentation through preproduction, regulatory submission, and production phases as appropriate. Act as approver as needed.For INVs/CAPAs, conduct investigations using analytical skills and judgement, conferring with other writers and SMEs when appropriate, to determine root cause, and to recommend and implement changes.Through Technical Training, maintain and expand knowledge of assays, instrumentation, and software as it applies to documentation.Use discretion and judgement, including consideration of business priorities, to prioritize deliverables and manage “expedites.”Coordinate and manage translation projects.Independently integrate SDS information into package inserts to comply with GHS standards.Initiate and drive departmental continuous improvement for a team of contributors.For inventoried items, prepare specs and work with procurement to ensure accuracy.
