Job Description:Perkins Coie is looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and curious marketer focused on developing and implementing the marketing and business development strategy for the Energy & Natural Resources Sector and the related Environment, Energy & Resources Practice Group. The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for increasing visibility, awareness, and business opportunity coordination between all lawyers in assigned groups. This position will also manage and mentor marketing staff, as well as collaborate with and provide support to marketing managers in other industry groups and practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThese essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.Build and sustain "trusted marketing adviser" relationships with chairs and key stakeholders. Manage overall operations of industry groups.Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned groups. Monitor industry news to flag client/target and/or notable industry developments.Actively engage with clients and prospects, identifying opportunities for growth. Attend business development meetings with partners and potential clients. Build relationships with external organizations relevant to the industry.Work with chairs to develop marketing and business development plans. Collaborate with the broader marketing team to execute on identified initiatives. Monitor and report progress on the plans against defined metrics.Track industry clients/prospects in Salesforce software application. Conduct complex research and analysis to drive strategic change for assigned groups and new concepts for business opportunities, including multidisciplinary opportunities.Coordinate and manage response strategy for rankings and submissions, including

Law360 .Provide strategic guidance on proposal approach and marketing materials. Work with the Proposal team on larger proposals and RFPs.Evaluate, plan, organize, manage and host relevant events. Oversee all aspects of events including concept, budget and agenda development, creating targeting lists, drafting invitation language, sending and tracking invitations and RSVPs, as well as measuring ROI and client feedback. Work in collaboration with members of the Events team to execute events effectively.Manage external and internal communications, including client updates, blogs, campaigns and newsletters. Work with the PR team for earned media opportunities.Provide service support to client leads of key clients; focus on expanding existing client relationships to increase revenue. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure specific client service goals are defined, tracked and reported for each strategic account.Manage budgets related to marketing expenses. Develop analytics to review and support marketing/BD expenditure and investment.Manage and mentor marketing staff, as assigned, and oversee personnel issues, workload and hiring of new staff. Contribute to those individuals' professional growth by encouraging participation in targeted development opportunities. Serve as a role model, setting professional standards, for both the department and junior staff members.Lead department-wide initiatives to improve the overall marketing function. Perform other duties, as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or equivalent required.A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.Advanced degree (MBA, JD or other relevant graduate degree) highly desirable.Experience in legal or professional services, and/or experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector highly preferred.TRA
