Freelance Senior WordPress Developer.

Key functions:
Build a custom WordPress website that allows for easy editability for novice administrators and is straightforward to maintain for other developersDevelop code that adheres to project requirements primarily using HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS, XML/JSON, AJAX , javascript, and PHPExtend Bootstrap or similar framework to make for efficient code theming and customizationWe do not use React, Angular, or Vue.js frameworksDesign, create, and manage any relational database utilizing MySQLWork with creative/UX/Tech Lead to help determine best programming practices used for a projectPerform quality control and testing of web programming to ensure expected functionality and troubleshoot/address development issuesAdhere to version control policiesEnsure the website functions correctly across various browsers and devices, addressing compatibility issues as neededOptimize website performance, including improving load times, reducing server response times, and optimizing images and codeEnsure the website complies with accessibility standards and provides an inclusive user experienceWhat we're looking for:
A solid understanding of current front-end development techniques as well as configuring and customizing WordPressSee the bigger picture and avoid using inline styles and compartmentalizing code blocks as much as possibleBackend CMS uses ACF to add custom fields to posts and pagesExperience developing in PHP, HTML, XML, javascript, as well as a basic understanding of database design are a plusStrong understanding of UX for both web and mobile experiencesUnderstanding of git and git flow and typical versioning practicesExperience working with custom themes utilizing ACF on WordPressExperience translating XD, and Figma files into website codeA strong portfolio showcasing a range of design and development projects, illustrating proficiency in translating designs into functional WordPress websites
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 5 years of professional experience in a developing websites using WordPress. Please be sure to include your portfolio with your submission.
