Packaging Production Artist for a

consumer packaged goods

client located in

Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will come with 3-5+ years of experience. This is a

full-time ,

hybrid (Tues-Thurs in office) ,

contract-to-hire

opportunity. Compensation for this position is expected to be

$26/hr - $32/hr

depending on experience level and fit.

What You'll Do:

Layout packaging and other artwork according to templated designs, updating as needed based on quality team and factory input.Process Packaging BOMs ensuring all component details and instructions are captured for factory use in preparing final packaging.File all artwork on EPDM. Collaborate with marketing coordinator to make sure final BOMs are approved when ready for factory use.Maintain Packaging Planning document for all packaging projects.Provide dimensions and weight information to sales support.Manage artwork numbers for all packaging artwork needsMaster carton configurations and obtain/engineer dielines with factory or third party engineers.Create and maintain all packaging change documentation for FDA complianceWork with third party vendors on print resources to support the team including but not limited to: large format signage, tradeshow booth and support materials, print collateral, display, mockups, and packaging engineers.Review third party style guides to understand customer requirements, sharing information with the team for custom projectsFacilitate artwork approvals through internal processManage approval process with external customers and third party servicesUnderstand customers unique RFID processes and submit for approvals. Manage process to ensure on time needs of the project are met.Request golden samples for all new products. Manage sample tracking and approvals for the team.Serve as creative team point of contact with factories to resolve any outstanding questionsRepresent the Creative Team and participate in production meeting to provide project updates to team, work collaboratively with team members to resolveissues and raise concerns as needed for the benefit of group discussion.What You'll Need:

3-5 years of relevant experience in the CPG spaceStrong understanding of packaging materials and production processes.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
