Think of your favorite book from childhood. Got it? Great. Now, that warm, joyful feeling you have right now—that’s what we do.

Literati is a modern education and consumer technology company focused on helping kids fall in love with reading at every age and stage. We make it easy to find great books through our school book fairs, school store fundraising platform, and book clubs using a unique mix of human and machine intelligence. We’re on a mission to help parents + educators ignite a love of learning and a love of life.

We take our brand very seriously. Since its inception, Literati has distinguished itself with impeccable design standards, including world-class photography, video, copy, lettering + typography, event production, and design. We’ve worked in collaboration with some of the world’s top artists and illustrators in children’s literature, and have an in-house team of designers, copywriters, and producers. Our creative work is scrappy but artful, powerful but joyful, heroic but innocent.

ABOUT YOU

As Creative Director, you’ll be responsible for the artistic direction and execution of all Literati creative and brand assets, as well as managing our team of in-house creatives and freelancers. You will shape creative campaigns that resonate with children, parents, and educators across both consumer and educational products. You’ll be a brand champion, bringing love, artistry, organization, professionalism, work ethic, and speed to our creative process. You’ll be working cross-functionally with internal clients (i.e. sales, product, marketing) and external clients (schools, non-profits, partnerships) on delivering assets that meet and exceed the brand standard. You’ll be streamlining processes and procedures, knowing how to build creative teams that scale.

You are someone whom creative professionals respect and admire, who can deliver feedback and raise the bar while maintaining kindness because you’ve been in their shoes. You can roll up your sleeves and help finish a project to meet a deadline.
