Manager, Corporate Communications

We are seeking a driven, experienced, collaborative communications manager to support day-to-day communications activities at Natera. This individual will play a key role in shaping the corporate narrative for a leading diagnostics company in an exciting field that touches many different dimensions of healthcare. The individual in this role will join the communications team, reporting into the vice president of corporate communications, while working closely with key stakeholders across the company.

Key activities will include the following:

Creation of press releases and media statements, including the editing, finalizing and distribution of such materialsCrafting of certain internal communications documents, such as letters to employees, feature stories, slide presentations, video scripts and talking pointsDevelopment of strategic messaging and communications plans on a broad range of topics, including both proactive and reactive communications programsEngagement with media, including liaising with reporters, developing proactive media pitches, and developing and maintaining media listsServing as a liaison between communications and business units/executives and other internal stakeholders, including maintaining a calendar of key business events (internal and external) and staying abreast of key activities in advanceAssistance in managing relationships with PR firms and other strategic partnersResearch on various topics to inform key projectsIdeal candidates will possess the following skills:

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with strong attention to detailThe ability to project-manage across multiple verticalsPublic company experience either directly in-house or via PR agency, including support of investor relations and the quarterly earnings processKnowledge of genetics and/or healthcare, including the ability to communicate scientific data (not required but preferred)Executive presence and an entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to identify areas of opportunity and fill gapsThe ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAdditional qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree, with at least 7-8 years of experience in communications or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in PowerPoint/Google Slides, and familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
