Associate Designer

to join our talented and nimble product team. This role will require working closely with our Associate Design Director and the rest of the product team in creating on-brand, trend right garments in our category (Socks, Underwear and Undershirts). The Associate Designer should have strengths in color matching, artwork set-up, email communication, and print repeats. This position is hybrid and requires at least 2-3 days per week in our Culver City office.Responsibilities:Set-up color-separated artwork in illustrator and Photoshop for branding, trims, and repeat prints.Review and comment on product samples for design accuracyCommunicate sample comments to the product team.Work within our Product Line Management system to add design elements (print, color, trims, graphics) to product BOMsSet up presentation boards for seasonal product reviewsCreate artwork in a variety of mediums in order to react to specific design direction and trendAid in the creation of seamless/repeat artwork that is market/product right and in line with trends for all divisions and brandsExhibit a baseline understanding of market trendsTroubleshoot and solve technical and color issues with production of prints and communicate updates clearly.Maintain an organized database of all design filesMaintain expected quality of file set-up and management that aligns with our product lifecyclesMaintain sample organization as neededRequired Education, Skills and ExperienceDegree in fashion/textile/product design or related field or equivalent experience.3+ years of relevant work experience including creating repeat prints and color checking.Candidate must have experience with Mac OSX, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and be highly skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator.PLM experience is a plus.Resourceful, can-do attitude that thrives in the fast-paced environment of a growth-minded companyStrong communication skills with timely follow-through.Takes direction and constructive critiques in stride as part of a collaborative design process.Self-motivated with developed in-office environment soft skills.Confidence to contribute with group discussions around design.Positive attitude and interest in the Pair of Thieves market.
