The South Bend Cubs are the High-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Over the past 35 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2022, and captured nine division titles. In 2023, the organization was selected as the Single-A Bob Freitas Award recipient by Baseball America. Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, was voted Best High-A ballpark in the country by Ballpark Digest in 2022 and 2023, having also won the award as a Low-A ballpark in 2017. The team recently broke ground on a 48-million-dollar stadium renovation.
About the position:
The South Bend Cubs are the gold standard in Minor League Baseball and are looking for college students to learn from our weather of experience. Our Graphic Design Internship will give you first-hand experience working in the fast-paced world of professional baseball. This position will report directly to the Production Manager and primary responsibility is to provide support for the South Bend Cubs Marketing and Promotions department through a variety of channels (print, digital, web, and video).
This is a for credit internship.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and design of print and digital graphics (flyers, banners, billboards, and other marketing materials)Assist in the design of box office materials (tickets, parking passes, stadium maps, etc.)Design video board graphicsLayout and design team publications (game program, media guide)Create content for social mediaExperience / Qualifications Required:
Must be enrolled in a college or university with a focus on graphic design or equivalent degreePreferred 1 year of graphic design experience in a professional environmentStrong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentMust be a team player with a passion to work in sports
