JPI operates as a subsidiary of Sumitomo Forestry, which is recognized as one of the largest home builders in the United States.JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Design Management Intern to join our Design team located in Dallas, TX.Role OverviewThe role of the Design Management Intern is to assist the Design Management team in all assigned duties throughout the design and construction process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Sample Room organization and maintenance.Assist in Design Document plan review.Assist in preparing design consultants and 3rd party contracts/POs.Assist in Construction Administration/Owner's Rep (site visits, OAC & PM/DM meetings).Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Managing meetings/conferences/lunches for the Design Management team.Maintain drawings in Procore.Education, Work Experience, and Physical Requirements:Pursuing or currently obtaining an Architectural Degree or Construction Science.A minimum of 2 years in an accredited Architecture School is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Word & Power Point].Prior work experience in a professional setting is preferred.Must possess a high level of professionalism, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.Why work for us?We are a People First culture, and seek team members who are hungry, humble, and people smart with an eye to continuous improvement.
