Your new roleAs our new Structural Designer - HYBRID, you will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team of building design professionals who execute interesting and diverse projects in the municipal, industrial, institutional and commercial sectors. Our team is at the forefront of helping clients achieve their built environment goals emphasizing sustainability concepts. You will have opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals in all the Ramboll business units and organizations in the Americas and globally including Environment & Health, Water, and Advanced Manufacturing.Your key responsibilities will be:Prepare structural engineering and construction drawings, for all phases of a project, utilizing Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software.Function as BIM/ CAD Coordinator on various projects if assigned.Manage assigned project workloads for self and other designers that may be assigned to projects.Interface with all levels of staff and/ or clients and subcontractors.Accountable to your direct Resource Manager and multiple Project Managers/Engineers of various projects.Fiscally responsible for project performance objectives under the Designer’s control.Determine project requirements and develop production documents to meet those requirements while following applicable codes, standards of care and the Firm’s Quality Management System.Complete production drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality requirementsPlanning, scheduling, coordination, and oversite of the work of lower-level designers who assist with projects.Evaluate needs for design changes and make appropriate recommendations.Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction activities.Undertake research, investigation, writing and editing of reports on the findingsAssist engineers with proposal developmentPrepare or present reports supporting design efforts.Project coordination with internal and external client contactsPrepare proposals and fee estimatesPerform other job functions as assignedAbout youFrom the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company.
