On behalf of our client, Crimson Design Group, we are conducting a search for a Director of Design who will be responsible for leading their design and procurement team in delivering exceptional interior design projects from concept to completion. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of the firm and ensure that every project delivers the "Crimson Experience." In short, the Director of Design is a creative leader who bridges the gap between design and business.
Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Leadership and Team Management:Provide visionary leadership to the design team, inspiring creativity and fostering a collaborative work environment.Reputation for developing long-term strategies that meet stakeholder objectives and ensure optimal productivity, performance, and profit.This position will own the successful profitability of all projects.Develop design strategies that enhance the client experience.Mentor and guide designers, offering support and feedback to help them grow and elevate.Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Create and implement process improvements and key performance indicators.Design Direction:Set the overall design direction for key projects, translating client requirements and objectives into innovative design concepts.Oversee design projects, which involves managing the design team and monitoring projects to ensure they are on time and within budget.Ensure design solutions align with project goals, budget constraints, and timeline requirements.Client Interaction:Build relationships with key clients.Oversee client projects to ensure quality and adherence to Crimson standards.Collaborate with key clients to incorporate their input into the design process.Project Management:Coordinate design and procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution from inception to installation.Review project schedules and budgets to ensure meeting deadlines and cost estimates.Implement quality and process improvements.Qualifications + Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field. Master’s degree preferred.5+ years experience managing a design team.8+ years of experience working in a residential or commercial design firm, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from concept to completion.ASID or NCIDQ Certification preferred.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of designers.Proficiency in design software such as Revit or AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.Extensive knowledge of current design trends, materials, and furnishings.About the Organization Crimson Design Group is THE leading interior design firm based in Columbus, Ohio.
