Job SummaryIn this role you will be responsible for shaping the user experience for MyBobs.com, customer-facing elements of related software, and other future digital products & services. You will lead and manage the UX design process, develop design systems, conduct user research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a seamless and intuitive online shopping experience. Reporting to the Director, eCommerce Product Management, you will play a critical role in the success of our fast-growing $200+ million eCommerce channel and in increasing the eCommerce share of $200+ billion overall company sales.You will focus on driving an optimal and engaging user experience for over 1 million site sessions per week, leading all aspects of information architecture, interaction design, visual design, usability evaluation, user research and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that user experience design aligns with business goals and technical constraints. You will leverage strong leadership skills and expertise in user-centered design principles, research methodologies, strategic thinking and project management to create exceptional user experiences.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders, such as product managers and executives, to define the overall UX strategy and goals of a project or product.

Lead efforts to streamline the UX/UI design creation and production process chain.

Develop a scalable design system and interface.

Lead end-to-end design of a product, including research, strategy and visual design.

Translate concepts into front-end specifications with user flows, wireframes, mockups, visual designs and interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

Conduct usability testing to identify customer pain points and create wireframes showcasing interaction flows, information architecture and designs to combat these pain points.

Serve as a subject matter expert in design & design research, and evangelize current trends and patterns for mobile-first design.

Ensure digital experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs and expectations of the target audience.

Adapt product experiences to different audiences based on their needs and the devices they use (feature personalization, responsive design, accessibility).

Create and facilitate an environment, process and design system that supports consistent UX principles and processes across devices and channels.

Facilitate collaboration and discovery sessions between Engineering, Product, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and UX.

Lead the development of personas, user flows and scenarios, goal/task analyses, and other key tools of user-centered design.

Support multiple projects in parallel.

Coordinate workload and resources for internal and external UI/UX staff, collaborating with stakeholders to meet and negotiate deliverables/deadlines as necessary.

Ensure wireframes, process flows, and other UI/UX artifacts can be successfully delivered from ideation to implementation within development timelines and technical restraints, partnering with product and development teams.

Early development of multiple concepts and production of user stories and high-level requirements for UX.

Understand business objectives, complex workflows, and end-user needs with ability to translate that into a seamless experience for the customer.

Influence product strategy and future vision of product, striving to build strong business relationships with internal and external partners and keep cross-discipline teams aligned.

Advocate for strong user perspective across all scrum teams and product development.

Assign tasks, provide guidance and mentorship, and foster collaboration within UX team and across disciplines.

Participate in test planning and execution to ensure that expected results will satisfy business and non-functional requirements.

Champion user-centered design principles within the organization, leverage data from user tests, analytics, and A/B tests to drive the design process, and to create experiences that meet user needs (while simultaneously addressing business goals).

Manage and develop staff and consultant UX designers.

Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a Design discipline such as Human Computer Interaction, Product, Industrial, Digital, Information Architecture or another closely related field.

5+ years of extensive work in UX for customer-facing applications.

2+ years of experience leading UX for B2C applications and mobile design, partner interactions, process management, as well as people management and development.

Extensive experience in developing scalable design systems, concepts and structures.

Proficient in leading industry UX/UI prototyping tools.

Proficient in leading industry UX/UI design software.

Proficient knowledge of coding languages including HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Strong understanding of design, usability and research best practices.

A design portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and the delivery of solid end-to-end scenarios on highly desirable, responsively designed websites.

Familiarity with ADA WCAG 2.2 AA compliance guidelines to drive all UX deliverables.

Knowledge of project management and leadership fundamentals.

Detail driven, highly organized and able to manage time across several concurrent projects.

Extensive experience collaborating across Product and IT teams on technical implementations.

Agile mindset, comfortable operating in an evolving environment with changing priorities.

Able to explain to stakeholders, engineers, designers, and other team members why a feature should do something, what it should do and how it should do it, and be able to justify it from a user, functional, or a business perspective.

Creative with a love of visuals and intuitive interfaces, meticulous attention to detail, and obsessed with understanding customers.

Love working in a cross-functional, fast-moving, and highly collaborative environment focused on striving for excellence, managing change, and finding actionable solutions.

Experience implementing and adhering to brand guidelines.

Strong work ethic and self-motivated with ability to take ownership, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently (including remote work).

Empathetic, open to feedback and able to communicate effectively.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with SAP Hybris platform a plus.

Experience with Bloomreach CMS a plus.

Experience with Adobe XD or similar design tools as well as prototyping tools.

Experience in the Retail industry (furniture category).

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:$111,000 - $139,000
