Responsibilities:

Be responsible for recruiting, training, and directing all musicians for the worship service and special services/activities.Be able to give solo vocal performances with accompaniment for the Community service and any other service chaplain approved special service/activities with satisfactory vocal proficiency.Required to direct choir members at weekly rehearsals and weekly performances for the worship services and for any Chaplain approved special service/activity.Be responsible for unlocking the chapel before rehearsals/services, and for securing the chapel afterwards. Shall ensure that all music stands, microphones, microphone stands, and cords are set up and put away after all services and/or rehearsals.Be responsible for ensuring the instruments are returned to their secured and/or covered position.Be responsible for arranging, maintaining, coordinating, selecting, preparing PowerPoint and Song Show Plus; ordering and purchasing all related literature, music, and equipment, as well as coordinating with other musicians and choir/praise team directors.Coordinate all music selections, arrangements, soloists, and special service/activity requirements with the Service Chaplain prior to the rehearsal for the following Sunday service.Shall coordinate roles/participation and activities of all musicians, praise team members, and guest performers.Qualification/ Education:The applicant should have a minimum of five (5) years of recent experience as a choir director and instrumentalist.The applicant shall have a minimum of three (3) years' experience performing vocal solos.The applicant shall be able to read and play music.
