All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Qorvo serves diverse high-growth segments of large global markets, including consumer electronics, smart home/IoT, automotive, EVs, battery-powered appliances, network infrastructure, healthcare, and aerospace/defense.Senior PA Design Engineer position working with a product development team composed of other Design Engineers, Technicians, and Laminate Designers to effectively deliver RF products that meet specifications.Experience with PA die design in GaAs and/or Silicon is a must. This person will understand performance parameters and make decisions on circuit design regarding different cellular frequency bands, modulations, and waveforms. Strong problem-solving capability for RF communication product design is recommended.The designer must be able to perform and work with other engineers in RF/analog design area with specialization in PA and output match design. The candidate should be able to design, simulate, and layout multi-die modules through Keysight/Agilent ADS and HFSS. Must have the ability to execute a project to meet delivery schedules and cost targets. Additionally, should be able to communicate technical issues and goals to customers and management.Successful candidates should be able to understand market drivers and the implications to circuit design tradeoffs.RESPONSIBILITIES:RF frontend component design for mobile cellular applications in high volume production.Understand system specifications and marketing requirements for the product.Deliver high quality GaAs/Silicon PA die and laminate designs that meet parametric and cost targets within product development schedule.Work with Production Engineer and Project Manager to improve yield and cost throughout the design process.Make design choices to balance between performance, yield, cost, and schedule.Use CAD programs (Keysight/Agilent ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, and HFSS) for circuit design.Use Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, RF signal generators, etc. to perform production evaluation and characterization in design engineering lab.Prepare engineering documents for communications with peers, customers, and management.Align simulation data with lab data to make best product down-selection possible.Interact with different disciplines and peers within Qorvo to deliver high performance and quality semiconductor products in mass production to our worldwide customers in mobile handset area.QUALIFICATIONS:BSEE with a minimum of 5 years of semiconductor design experience in telecommunication field. MSEE preferred.Circuit design knowledge for telecommunications (e.g., LNA, RF power amplifier, Power Management).Hands-on lab skills on device verifications and characterization.Experience in data analysis/mining/extraction statistical methods and tools.Problem-solving skills and strong sense of responsibility.Background in IEEE wireless standards or 3GPP cellular standards is a plus (LTE-A, LTE, WCDMA, CDMA, and/or 2G cellular standard).Strong communication and presentation skills.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) / Affirmative Action employer and welcome all qualified applicants.
