This role is central to the strategic development, implementation, and operation of the CMA digital video/photo archive and will report to the Director of Content Production. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of video post-production and digital archival workflows as well as possess meticulous attention to detail.
This position will be responsible for:
Project Spearhead:
Play a pivotal part in CMA’s launch and implementation of a new MAM (Media Asset Management) platform and rehaul of archival video asset management practices & organization
Asset Acquisition and Ingestion:
Track and receive assets from remote shoots, ingest and organize within designated structures, ensure accurate tagging and cataloguing, and facilitate a seamless flow through the media supply chain from acquisition to edit to delivery to archive
Quality Control:
Help to guide establishment of technical standards, holding internal & external video teams accountable to delivery specs
Asset Preservation and Retrieval:
Serve as functional digital librarian for archival creative assets, executing current and retroactive tagging/organization projects
Workflow Innovation:
Utilize technical knowledge and experience to contribute ideas on creative/technical workflow innovation and best practices to foster productivity and ensure seamless operation of technical infrastructure
Collaboration and Training:
Assist with day-to-day MAM and DAM training, support and governance for creative staff and external vendors to ensure proactive and excellent service for all end users, and helping to enforce adoption and compliance
Vendor Relations:
Act as primary liaison with MAM and DAM (Digital Asset Management) SaaS (Software as a Service) vendors, forging strong partnerships that ensure delivery of top tier services (as assigned)
This position is full time, based in Nashville, TN and will begin as a
full-time, on-site position
(including required attendance of all content capture shoots, sometimes outside normal working hours). Once MAM implementation is complete, this role may be transitioned into a hybrid in-office/work from home position.

Essential Functions
Oversee the advanced organization, cataloging, access to and governance of digital media assets
Implement robust metadata tagging frameworks, enhancing the discoverability and utility of assets across the organization
Gather information from pre-production meetings to generate call sheets & tech books
Set up delivery folders in MAM in advance of each shoot in a dual on-prem/cloud environment
Attend all content capture shoots, conduct on-site QC of footage, acting as on-set script supervisor/DIT
Operate AI transcription software, as needed, for in-person interviews and retroactively with archival footage
Ingest all footage/photos to NAS/MAM/DAM, properly tagging and organizing, ensuring footage is quickly available to editors via cloud
Track clearances ensuring video teams are properly instructed on needs in advance
Assist in the development of the metadata schema and taxonomy for MAM and DAM solutions
Basic correction/retouching of archival photography scans
Basic video editing duties, such as servicing internal and external video licensing/clipping requests and creating BITC screeners
Video post-production project management tracking, ensuring all final deliverables are archived properly upon completion
Track and approve video projects for final invoice submission once all required deliverables have been received and QC’d
Set up and monitor users in DAM and MAM, ensuring proper level of access and expiration
Management, tracking and upkeep of SSD inventory
Qualifications
Bachelor or Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Media, Communications, Music Business or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years experience working in Post Production as a DIT, media manager, assistant editor or junior editor
Required deep experience in one or more MAM SaaS Solutions (preferably iconik, Dalet, CatDV or similar) preferably in a dual on-prem/cloud environment
Preferred experience working with an enterprise DAM system
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge, Illustrator and Photoshop)
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams
Experience training DAM and MAM users
Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data and effective prioritization
Calm under pressure and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Adaptability to rapidly changing technology landscapes
Customer focused approach and excellent people management skills
Knowledge of or interest in Country Music history and current artists is a plus
