This position works with the Vice President for Enrollment to develop, implement, and maintain a strategic enrollment marketing and communications plan for the traditional undergraduate, graduate and Weekend Evening and Online College programs.

Work Location:

Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles). Hybrid, 2 days remote during the week.

Annual Salary Rate Range:

$119,557.33 - $123,000.00

Monthly Salary Rate Range:

$9,963.11 - $10,250.00

Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate's qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops marketing and communications strategies to increase prospect generation and to support conversion from applicant to enrolled for the traditional undergraduate, graduate and Weekend Evening and Online College programs.

Oversees creative implementation of the MSMU brand to support enrollment efforts including serving as the liaison to marketing partners and managing the development of creative for those efforts.

Writes and creates content for digital marketing efforts such as emails, admission blog posts, print publications, and other print materials to send to various admission constituencies, as needed.

Creates content for the MSMU admissions pages of the University website, as well as for external college search websites.

Works closely with the Enrollment Digital Communications team to support communications efforts through content review and development.

Partners with the University Social Media team to create social media, video strategy and content creation for enrollment social channels.

Oversees marketing and communications budget for undergraduate (first year and transfer), graduate and weekend, evening and online college.

Oversees staff responsible for the content management systems and/or relevant web applications used for web production.

Oversees the fundamentals of web design, content and user experience, including skill to design in an appealing, lively and relevant way.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Serves on key University committees.

Requirements:

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of the university enrollment process for a variety of age groups.

Clear understanding, and experience, in marketing and advertising including metrics and ROI.

Experience in managing budgets.

Abilities and Skills:

Strong creative and professional writing skills with keen editing and attention to detail.

Excellent leadership skills to work with a diverse group of staff, as well as faculty and colleagues from various departments.

Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently coupled with excellent organizational skills and highest standards for accuracy.

Critical thinker and worker with advanced problem-solving capabilities, creativity, and strong work ethic.

Education:

Baccalaureate degree required, advanced degree preferred. Marketing degree preferred.

Experience:

At least five years marketing experience. At least five years enrollment marketing experience preferred.
