We aim to foster a deep sense of trust and affinity for our brands, achieved through creative excellence and innovative marketing strategies.Position OverviewAs an SEM Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing one of our largest traffic segments, lodging. Your analytical skills will be crucial in driving performance and ensuring our campaigns are both effective and efficient. Your ability to identify trends and pinpoint the root causes of performance changes will be key to maintaining and improving our campaign outcomes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and work with multiple teams (Finance, Data Science, Analytics and others) in a matrixed organization.If you have a love for travel and a knack for optimizing search engine marketing campaigns, this role is perfect for you.In this role, you will:Monitor the day-to-day performance of SEM campaignsOptimize and manage SEM campaigns to internal target KPIs, executing on the fundamentals of Search MarketingIdentify growth opportunities, initiating test hypothesis and prioritizing scale out of winning tests to improve SEM performanceConduct ad hoc analyses to delve deeper into performance fluctuations, offering actionable recommendations to enhance our SEM strategiesProvide guidance to the Leadership Team on market trends and recommendations to adjust portfolio behavior to maximize opportunities and returnsManipulate massive data sets using SQL / Python to identify and prioritize optimization opportunitiesConstantly test and learn to improve campaign performanceMaintain internal (Product, Analytics, Data Science, Finance, SEO) and external (Google, Bing) collaborations on strategic initiativesDeliver impactful analysis regarding key market forces/changes and apply analytics to present tangible business actions/solutions (e.g. auction changes, competitive pressure, seasonality, partner product changes)Experience and qualifications:5+ years of relevant experience in marketing and quantitative analysisExtraordinary analytical skills, including data manipulation and financial analysisYou can self-serve your own data and are comfortable working with SQL (Python and R can be beneficial too)Track record in SEM or similar growth channel is preferred, but not mandatoryGreat collaboration skills and a good understanding of online marketing / ecommerceExcellence in implementation, attention to detail and strong organizational skillsIf you are excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact in the travel industry and have a proven track record in SEM, we encourage you to apply and join our innovative team at Expedia Group.The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
