Want to apply Read all the information about this position below, then hit the apply button.The Senior Web Designer develops new and maintains corporate websites, web application end-user interfaces, email templates, and other graphical content while using current technologies, ensuring the usability meets the brand requirements. This individual works with a cross-functional marketing team, including other Managers and web developers, to ensure in-house web design initiatives meet the highest design, user experience, and coding standards. The Senior Web Designer must be comfortable multitasking projects with short deadlines and shifting priorities. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly in various creative and technical environments are vital attributes for this individual.Essential Functions and DutiesDesign and develop corporate websites that effectively deliver marketing messages from initial concept to mockups and coding the final site. This includes identifying the need/problem, user research, planning build and design, and usability testing.Design and develop corporate e-commerce and other functional application user interfaces and experiences. This involves wireframing, accurate graphical mockups, and responsive front-end coding.Work with marketing team members, consultants, and other company stakeholders to define web, application, and other digital project requirements and scope.Collaborate with other marketing team members to identify potential marketing opportunities and translate them into web content. Analyze company websites’ user flow and information architecture to optimize for user experience and conversion.Help define and document functionality, provide user interface mockups or a fully coded UI, set graphic direction, and user experience.Contribute as a marketing technology expert regarding web, web graphics, online services, and related technical questions and issues within the department.Set and maintain standards for graphic design quality, consistent branding, user interface, and user experience across company websites and eCommerce applications.Set standards for front-end web/UI technology and coding. Regulate code updates, version control system, and tracking. And process efficiency.Keep up to date with the latest web design trends, technologies, coding, and techniques. Immediately report any concerns or violations.Other duties as assigned.Education, Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceRequired Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree.Required Knowledge:Certificate or equivalent work experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Certificate or equivalent work experience Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD and Dreamweaver.Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office.Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed.Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Must have experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap is required.Must have an understanding of responsive web design, and the technical knowledge and skills to implement are required.Understanding of email client differences and how to code email that displays properly on all devices and platforms. Experience with Litmus is a plus.Knowledge of marketing automation platforms (or a willingness to learn), especially Marketo is required.Knowledge of search engine optimization digital advertising, and web analytics reporting.Knowledge of CMS systems such as WordPress and Drupal is a plus.Knowledge of web accessibility standards, CCPA, CAN-SPAM a plus.Knowledge of various development environments and coding tools.Not required but a plus – Basic knowledge of technologies such as PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, databases, source control, and Git.Required Experience:Must have a minimum of five (5) years [nine (9) for non-degreed candidates] of experience in web design and in the following areas:Knowledge of web animation, animation tools, and libraries is a plus.Knowledge of web accessibility standards, CCPA, CAN-SPAM a plus.Knowledge of various development environments and coding tools.Knowledge of search engine optimization is a plus.Required Skills:Must have strong organizational skills.Must have a detail orientation and the proven ability to prioritize work.Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.Sound decision-making abilities.Must have the ability to create accurate mockups of web pages and HTML emails.Must possess a natural understanding of spatial relationships and the ability to create clean purposeful layouts that are easy to use, read and understand.Must have the ability to create web pages that translate successfully across all devices large screen, desktop, midsized devices, and mobile.Proficiency in web graphics, graphic software, web prototyping software; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD.Must be able to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly based on demands.Knowledge of web animation is a plus.Physical requirementsVision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally.
