The Mechanical Designer will perform mechanical design of the rectifier/dc power supplies and related equipment. Responsible for using Autodesk Inventor (3D) and AutoCAD software programs to design the mechanical envelope and system layouts for rectifiers and dc power supplies.

With the clients, you will gain access to our 40 plus years of proven Power Electronic experience, the latest technology and professionals who are enjoying a world-wide recognition in this field.DescriptionResponsible for creating manufacturing documentation, including parts and components 3D models, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, piping assemblies, outline drawings and installation drawings.Mechanical design of enclosures, rectifier power section, plumbing section, control section, transformers, AC/DC connections/supports and other related equipment.Create a Bill of Materials (BOM) of the equipment.Prepares necessary drawings and documentation for the workshop, including work instructions for critical tasks.Prepare necessary drawings, specifications, and documentation for the purchasing department and suppliers for purchased parts.Prepares necessary documentation for the client.Make revisions, changes, and updates to existing documentation and 3D models as needed.Works independently with direction from Supervisor, electrical engineers, project engineers, and manufacturing management to produce project documentation with a high degree of accuracy and minimal errors.Support Production to troubleshoots and solve issues related to mechanical designs.Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of project status to supervisor and the engineering assistant.Interfaces with suppliers and other departments as needed.Processes and releases engineering drawings, related project documentation and engineering change notices (ECR/ECN/ECO and CAR) for release to production floor following accepted department procedures.Processes and releases engineering drawings, related project documentation and engineering change notices following release procedures.Other duties as assigned.ProfileEducation - Experience:1 Year Experience with 3D mechanical design software such as AutoDesk Inventor (preferred) and/or Solidworks or equivalent.Technical Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) - Equivalent experience will be considered.Job OfferRequired Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:Strong written and verbal skills including ability to make presentations.Auto Cad 2D and 3D Auto Cad Inventor softwareKnowledge of flow manufacturing, inventory control and other material control functions.Experience in developing procedures reports.Computer and software literacy.Working knowledge of computer software for manufacturing.Ability to work independently and to initiate activities.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
