Position Summary
The role of Mechanical Designer II will be to create and/or modify component and assembly design layouts; dimensional stacks; component, assembly and proposal drawings with minimal engineering direction and in accordance with customer requirement.
Position Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in advanced 3D modeling techniques. Create complex assemblies and components with precision. Apply basic knowledge of surface modeling to enhance design capabilities. Utilize advanced features within the CAD program, such as sweeps, lofts, and patterns, to develop intricate parts. Automate routine tasks within the CAD program through programming techniques. Program machine code using specialized software or G-code for manufacturing processes. Exhibit advanced knowledge of engineering principles and best practices. Implement design analysis and optimization techniques to improve overall design performance. Lead detailed design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team output. Show proficiency in ASME Y14.5 standards. Incorporate design for sustainability principles into projects. Demonstrate leadership skills in coordinating and guiding design projects. Communicate and present design concepts effectively to engage stakeholders. Apply strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling, to ensure project success. Required Qualifications
Associate's degree, trade school diploma or equivalent technical experience. Bachelor's degree preferred 8 - 12 years' experience or equivalent with the primary responsibilities inclusive of mechanical component and assembly drawings and the creation of bills of materials. Experience using computer-aided drafting principles, geometric tolerancing fundamentals, and established design standards to create mechanical designs for ProEnergy Services manufacturing. Experience with CAD Software (Solidworks, Creo, or NX preferred) Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc. Must read, write and speak fluent English. US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa. Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check Desired Qualifications
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines for long-and short-term objectives. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite programs. Proficient in the use of a variety of general office equipment and skilled at typing at a speed necessary for successful job performance. Knowledge of communication principles and practices. Knowledge of principles of business letter writing and report preparation. Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Knowledge of basic business arithmetic. Travel might be required as needed. Overtime might be required as needed.
