Disc Medicine values collaboration, professional development, and scientific integrity and promotes an inclusive company culture that empowers and inspires.POSITION OVERVIEW:As Disc Medicine evolves from a development-stage organization to a commercial entity, the Company has a new open role for a Vice President of Marketing, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the company's growth trajectory and achieving strategic objectives.The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for developing and leading our global marketing strategies and preparing the company to commercialize its first product. Your role will include brand strategy, including developing brand plans and executing comprehensive marketing plans that align with our business objectives. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of biotech, rare disease and hematology. The VP of Marketing will lead the commercialization strategy team and collaborate closely with other functions to drive brand awareness, product adoption and launch success.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead pre-commercialization marketing activities including brand planning and execution, patient identification and digital effortsCreate a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with the company's overall goals, including brand positioning, key messaging, and targeted audiencesPartner with medical affairs and patient advocacy on patient educational initiativesBuild relationships with KOLs, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare professionalsDevelop patient marketing strategies, plans and resources neededDevelop brand positioning and marketing programs based on customer insightsOversee the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaignsDevelop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resourcesEstablish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing plan implementationRecruit, motivate, develop, and retain a team of highly skilled marketing professionalsContribute to an efficient and compliant medical and legal review processPartner with legal and compliance to ensure the implementation of compliant messages and programsREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or another Advanced Degree preferredMinimum of 15 years of life sciences industry experience which includes significant within the marketing functionExtensive working knowledge of strategic and brand marketing and omni-channel approachesVisionary and innovative mindset with a passion for driving change and growthStrong command of scientific concepts and demonstrated ability to build relationships with KOLs and other key stakeholdersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a hands-on approachProven track record of developing talent and being a culture championExperience with key aspects of US regulatory filings and label developmentProven track record of successfully leading product launches, globally and in the USStrong preference given to candidates with hematology and rare disease experienceStrong project management skills, with the ability to spearhead the commercial strategy and launch teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.Disc Medicine is an equal-opportunity employer committed to providing all qualified candidates and employees equal opportunities.
