You should possess extraordinary visual and user interface skills and user-centered design principles. You have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details. While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, you can grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, understandable solutions. You are a great collaborator and an excellent communicator, able to develop and present design ideas in a large team environment. This Sr. Product Designer is crucial in defining the future design direction of Apple’s consumer and pro applications. We are excited and eagerly anticipate welcoming a new designer to take software design to the next level.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in product design and UI, with a focus on designing for multiple platforms (e.g., iOS, web, or similar environments)Experience in delivering critical, large-scale features or products from start to finish, including involvement in documentation and development processesAbility to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomesStrong empathy and advocacy for user experience when working with peer teams, including Engineering, QA, Marketing, and AccessibilityHighly proficient and efficient with design tools to visualize ideas and deliver work quicklyAbility to communicate design concepts through prototypes, low/high-fidelity comps, and formal presentationsPreferred QualificationsDegree in interaction design, human interaction, sociology, psychology, visual design, or related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to large groups and executivesDemonstrate creative problem-solving with the ability to take initiative when necessaryPassion for Apple, its products, and its customersExperience in iterative design processes, with enthusiasm for engaging in and contributing to group critiqueAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
