As an influential people leader, this leader will own complex product strategy development and implementation across multiple portfolios and throughout Expedia Group, integrating seamlessly with the strategies of other business lines.
What you’ll do:
Define and drive the strategy for the Communications Domain, ensuring effective, real-time interaction between our travel platform, travelers, and our partners.Achieve annual operational, financial, and performance targets for the Communications Domain.Partner with the Traveler, Supply partner, and Demand partners to develop appropriate Tier 1 metrics and drive the organization to deliver them.Develop the Communications platform plan, strategy, tech roadmap and operate it to support all LoBs & brands to ensure Expedia is at the forefront of new tech to advance customer experience.Set appropriate goals (OKRs) across product and tech teams.Develop and maintain product roadmaps.Prioritization & allocation of resources.Build & lead a globally engaged organization of top talent which drives innovation.Provide cross-functional leadership across design, program management, data analytics, product marketing, engineering and strategy business units.Track closure rate and ROI for work that is completed.Provide mentorship and feedback to product leaders on direction, focus areas and connections to other initiatives in the organization.Build relationships and influence across multiple parties.
Who you are:
12+ years of successful leadership experience in product and technology for a global platform company.Well versed and experienced with consumer technology and/or platform business with a product-led mindset, having a strong technical muscle and user of the products that we create.Proven excellence leading diverse functional and globally dispersed development teams in high-impact initiatives that deliver meaningful business results.Creative thinker with extraordinary business, strategic, analytical, management and relationship skills.A "one team" player, transparent and an advocate of sharing data and learnings to create better customer outcomes.Inspires peripheral relationships across Expedia Group, has the enthusiasm and passion to engage own team and wider organization on eCommerce roadmap.Proven situational leadership skills and the ability to motivate and generate enthusiasm with individuals across all levels of the organization.Large scale program management ability to drive solutions across a global organization with multiple functional stakeholders.Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a constantly fast-evolving environment.A Storyteller: able to build and articulate a vision and translating it into an executable strategy, leading with data and insights. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $296,000.00 to $414,500.00.
