Job Summary:The Roman Family Center for Decision Research is devoted to the study of how individuals form judgments and make decisions. Researchers at the Center examine the processes by which intuition, reasoning, and social interaction produce beliefs, judgments, and choices. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the RF-CDR’s communications team to help manage the center’s social media presence, communicating the work and mission of the center, including its public discovery center, Mindworks: The Science of Thinking.Responsibilities:Manage the social media presence of the Roman Family Center for Decision Research, including the digital properties associated with Mindworks: The Science of Thinking.Working closely with the center’s Director of Operations and External Relations and the Senior Associate Director of Communications, help create, execute, and manage the social media strategy for the center on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.Help plan, build, maintain, and grow the Mindworks social media presence, including the Mindworks Instagram and TikTok feed, with the goal of increasing visitor traffic and participation in research.Translate the work and mission of the RF-CDR and Mindworks to a broad audience through multiple media and formats.Provide information to Mindworks audiences and visitors about the field of behavioral science, the nature and purpose of experimental research in behavioral science, the specific nature and importance of each of the Mindworks exhibits and related concepts, and generally serve as a positive ambassador for the CDR during engagement with audiences and visitors.Provide audiences and visitors with appropriate information in order to support their interest in participating in research conducted in Mindworks.Support outreach and advertising initiatives to attract visitors to Mindworks, when necessary.Competencies:Excellent communication skills.Familiarity with methods of social science research experimentation preferred.Collaborate and interact professionally with faculty, students, and staff.Good organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.Additional Requirements

Education, Experience, or Certifications:Education:High school diploma/GED required.Bachelor’s degree in the area of psychology, organizational behavior, or marketing preferred.Experience:Proven experience creating and managing social media content for a company, organization, or public-facing group required.Technical Knowledge or Skills:Multimedia editing in applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Canva, Instagram, TikTok required.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:This position works a hybrid schedule.This is a temporary, part-time position of approximately 10-20 hours per week.Required Documents:Resume/CVCover LetterWhen applying, the document(s)
